Vision

To make disciples who glorify God by pursuing His unique calling on their lives.

Alamo Stone is committed to the Lord’s command to make disciples while living lives that provide tangible benefit first to membership and then to the surrounding community. For our church this involves evangelism aimed at reaching the lost with the message of Christ, equipping them to love God and one another, and deploying them to do the same.

We see ourselves as “sent ones”, striving to share Christ with all, so that every person could have a chance to follow Christ. (Matthew 28:19) We share Christ out of a love for God and a love for other people. (John 15:9-17 1 Corinthians 13:2).  We believe that Christ was the best disciple-maker, and like Christ, we show truth, expose rebellion, correct and train the next generation, so that every believer would live God’s way. (2 Timothy 3:16). As we live God’s way, we consider others before we consider ourselves and spend our lives serving people (Phillipians 2:3-4, Matthew 25:31-46, James 1:27).  We generously care for one another, and help each other grow; so that every believer can live effectively and joyfully for Christ. (Acts 2:42, 1 Thessalonians 2:8).  We make efforts to be “real” when sharing our lives. We encourage honesty, truth, and humility, so that we can live in harmony with each other. (Romans 12:16, Psalm 15:2-3).
